Volume vs. Weight — the Part People Miss
Every container has two limits: how much fits (volume) and how much it can legally weigh on the road (weight). For household junk, furniture, and construction packaging, volume is the limit — you fill it up long before you hit the weight allowance. For shingles, plaster, tile, wet lumber, dirt, and masonry, weight is the limit — the box gets heavy fast and can hit its allowance while it looks half empty.
